Hosting.com is a managed web hosting,cloud hosting and colocation solutions provider which has announced a new system in place. Hosting.com will be offering the VMware (NYSE: VMW) vCloud Express solution with consumption-based pricing (pay as you go, pay by the hour).

Craig McLellan, CTO (Chief Technical Officer) of Hosting.com mentioned,

Hosting.com is one of the few companies now offering the VMware Virtualized service, especially on a pay-as-you-go business model. The new vCloud Express solution began to be available as a beta service on September 1, 2009. Hosting.com goes on to claim that this will offer “true” cross-platform functionality with the technology the industry has embraced. This vCloud Express offering is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution that will be utilized with Hosting.com’s Cloud Enterprise infrastructure

Hosting.com’s offering of vCloud Express in it’s Cloud Enterprise solution utilizes VMware vSphere 4 along with their investments in EMC, Dell, Juniper, F5, and Intel technologies that Hosting.com believes gives them an edge over their competition.
